So I'm back from holiday and this is my first halfway decent run at another bootleg.
Tracks:
The Prodigy - Mindfields
The Prodigy - Their Law
The Prodigy - 3 Kilos
Maestro Fresh-Wes - Let Your Backbone Slide
Unfortunately, I think it's a bit too busy. I wasn't able to get my hands on an acapella of the vocal track, and I had to really work the other samples around the other sounds in Let Your Backbone Slide. I'm thinking of blowing $20US to get my hands on a vinyl single from 1989 to get the acapella mix of it (doh - stupid hobby costing me money!).
A coworker of mine (who did studio keyboards for Savage Garden, but don't hold that against him) gave me some good advice, which I haven't had time to incorporate into the song yet: get back to standard 8 bar sections. I thought I was being clever in not sticking to the formula, but he explained (quite rightly) that our stupid monkey brains like eight-bar loops.
Anyhow, grab the song from the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and lend me your ears and advice.

I'm liking it.The vocals & backing perform well together. It takes turns well in the cutting. The vocals could be more forward in the mix,but that's a preference call for some.Still,it might give it more dominance over the mental, which almost overwhelms it at times.
I'm fussy about treble & hi hat,so you could soften the harshness slightly for my tastes.
It's a good listen & depending on your mood, might be fine for release already.
I find the content appealing.
