Default problems with DVD

a while back i put a lot of mp3's on a DVD and forgot about it,a lot of the stuff on it i lost when i formatted wrong drive.if i put the disc in a dvd player it plays no problem but when i put it in my dvd drive in my pc it's not got anything on the disc but hasn't got any free space,i have turned on show hidden folders but no difference,i have just thought of 1 thing it could be,i had a programme called folder lock on my pc when i burned the dvd so i might have to reinstall it to see if that works but if anyone else has experienced this prob can you let me know plz <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Very Happy" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s -->

Do you know what format DVD it is DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, Dual layer etc. ect.

Bugger if it was either of the RW's you could of tried a software extraction. Does the disc work in any other disc drive on your pc / anyone elses? I had a laser problem with a DVDRW drive, it wouldn't read certain discs but it would write them.

i did 2 discs with mp3's on a couple of days apart,1 i can see no problem the other i can't,as far as i'm aware i didn't change any settings so they should be the same,i'm gonna re-install folder lock see if that makes a difference

I advise having a copy of the disc made &amp; installing from that.
