does anyone know any natural/herbal remedies to help with sleep,for about 2 weeks now i've been having trouble getting to sleep,i've only been getting a couple of hours sleep a night,i have grabbed an hours sleep during the day on 2 occasions during that time and i've slept no problems at all but it's now really starting to annoy me,i'm not too keen on popping pills "i can't get no sleep"

Horlicks seems to work sometimes for me (it tastes awful though) or green tea as it relaxes the body.

Those are okay,but if you need good,restful sleep,try 'valerian root'.
You can function perfectly well the next day with out drowsiness.
It comes as a tea,or in capsules.Just don't take it on an empty stomach.

Glad to assist.I had a massive sleep problem after my doc gave me a 5x overdose of my thyroid med.
Aside from sedatives,which are too intrusive,the valerian was the only thing that saved me.Mind you,don't take it on an empty stomach.
Only side effect I noticed was more vivid dreams.Can't be bad!
No sleep leaves Dave a total wreck.

more vivid dreams are well cool,i tried giving up smoking a couple of years back and i was using 24 hour nicotine patches and the dreams i had on that were better than real ife lol and i enjoyed going to sleep <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Very Happy" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s -->
