As you might suspect,I have a few thousand vinyl records.I wouldn't give up some if you stuck a gun in my face,but I've obviously got too many.It creates a storage problem.

I've been slowly burning them onto cd's & selling them to pay for the process.I've whittled them down so there's only half as many.Most of my 12"s were stolen,so I've only got about 10 feet left of vinyl in a huge wooden rack uner the entertainment center.

How do you deal with your piles of vinyl?

I'm in the same boat, loads of vinyl that I haven't got the heart to rip and sell. I just recently made this to keep them all out of the way a bit better,

My solution was drastic, I emigrated to Ecuador and gave all vinyl away before leaving.
I only kept about 80 cd's (more did not fit in my cd case) and two cases with 100 cassettes
I had exactly one backpack full of clothes and two boxes with mainly photos and wooden art figures from Mexico sent over and had my slide collection (which is huge) plus more memorabilia from Guatemala stocked in Holland.

Emigrating is a good way to get rid of all your stuff that you do not really need.
Since I'm back of course I'm piling up again

When I gave up being a mobile dj I sold the lot now the only bit of vinyl ive got is the soundtrack to quadrophenia find mp3's and cd's much easier to use now.

thats just some of my old school dance stuff.

no way whouid i sell my records, there's a old school drum and bass tune,

It's not too much,tho.The point is to have what you want when you want to hear it.
I even play my fischer z album sometimes.lol

I wouldn't give my vinyls away no matter what would happen!!!
There are a lot of bootlegs and/or vinyls you don't get on CD today.
So I've placed them in a similar way as you've seen on the photos above.
From time to time I digitalize one if I wanna hear it in my car or so.
But sitting on my sofa with a bottle of beer in my hand and listening to
an old vinyl is always a great pleasure.
Since ca. 20 years now every Halloween I'm listening to the song "Halloween"
from the german speedmetal-band "Helloween"
(but I think that will change a little bit this year ...)
